…Did SMP and an investigation from Peak Maths 6 about Tudor and Stuart Kings and Queens.
And some work on our broad beans that we were growing.
This afternoon we practiced our Assembly even though it isn’t until 20th June…

Understand that putting on an assembly in front of your primary school peers was A Very Big Thing.

Especially if you were one of those personally involved in choosing what to put on.

Understand, therefore, the need to start rehearsing the thing well over a month before the assembly was to receive its one and only public performance.

Understand too that, in the mind of at least one 10-year-old, the assembly was nonetheless just as much of A Very Big Thing as broad beans.

Especially if the latter were likely to come to fruition before the former.
